GLOBAL GUERRILLA WAR… Can America Win It? Continually, the media tells us we are fighting a “war against terrorism,” or fighting “The War in Afghanistan.” We are told that “Iraq may be next,” and told of the latest rejection by Saddam Hussein of President Bush's insistence that UNSCOM investigators should be allowed back in Iraq to ferret out Saddam's programs to build weapons of mass destruction.
The U.S. has spent BILLIONS of dollars on the war so far. Few
seem to know that each one of those cruise missiles which were
launched in the initial attack cost about the same as a small
corporate jet aircraft; that the precision guided bombs cost
tens of thousands of dollars each. How are our inventories
holding up? How many bombs and rockets can those ships hold?
What about ammunition ships plying the seas; bringing more tons
of multimillion dollar weapons to the carrier battle groups? |
